Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 17, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Joseph Abrams ("SyncByJT," "we," "us," or "our"), which operates the website syncbyjt.com and the music-licensing and studio services offered through it, collects, uses, and shares information about you. Joseph Abrams (professionally, Joseph Thomas / joeta4) is the artist behind the catalog.
By using syncbyjt.com, submitting a licensing inquiry, or reserving a studio service, you agree to this Policy.
1. Scope
This Policy covers three things:
- The website — browsing syncbyjt.com, the catalog, the news/guides, and other pages.
- Music licensing — inquiring about licensing music from our catalog.
- Studio services — reserving mixing, mastering, or analog-enrichment work.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us directly.
- Licensing inquiries. When you use the licensing inquiry form, we collect your name, email address, and the project details you provide (media, territory, budget, message, and similar).
- Studio reservations. When you reserve a service, we collect your name, email address, the service selected, and details about your project. Each reservation is tied to a private, unguessable order token so you can track it without creating an account.
- Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects and processes your card details directly; we do not receive or store full card numbers. We retain limited transaction records (e.g., that a payment succeeded, the amount, and the associated order).
- Files you send for studio work. Stems and audio you submit for a studio service are transferred through Disco (disco.ac), a third-party service. Audio files are not stored on our own servers; they live in the Disco workflow used to complete your order.
- Communications. Emails and messages you send us.
Information collected automatically.
- Usage analytics. We record basic, privacy-minded analytics about page visits: the page viewed, the referring page, an approximate location (country), your device type, and a randomly generated session identifier stored in your browser. We also keep a short-lived "who's online" presence signal while a tab is open.
- Vercel Analytics. Our host, Vercel, provides aggregate traffic analytics.
- Cookies and similar technologies. See Section 3.
- Log and security data. Standard server and firewall logs (including IP address and user agent) used to operate and secure the site.
We do not ask for or intentionally collect sensitive categories of personal data.
3. Cookies and tracking
- Essential cookies and storage make the site work (e.g., your session identifier and your consent choice).
- Advertising and analytics technologies — specifically the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API — help us measure and improve our marketing. These are consent-gated: for visitors in the EU, EEA, and UK, they do not run unless you agree via our consent banner, and we honor a decline.
- You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential storage may break parts of the site.
4. How we use information
We use the information above to:
- respond to licensing inquiries and prepare quotes;
- provide, schedule, and deliver studio services, and communicate about your order;
- process payments and keep transaction records (via Stripe);
- send transactional emails such as inquiry acknowledgements and order confirmations (via Resend);
- operate, secure, debug, and improve the website;
- measure and improve our advertising and marketing, where you have consented; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the business, and only as needed:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- Supabase — database and backend for site and order data.
- Vercel — website hosting and aggregate analytics.
- Disco (disco.ac) — music previews and secure transfer of studio audio files.
- Meta — advertising measurement (Pixel and Conversions API), consent-gated.
- Google Search Console — search performance (aggregate; not personal profiling).
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer. Each provider processes data under its own terms and privacy policy.
6. International transfers
We operate in the United States, and our providers may process data in the U.S. and elsewhere. If you access the site from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be processed in the U.S., which may have different data-protection laws than your country.
7. Data retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above: to answer your inquiry, complete and support your order, keep required financial records, and comply with law. Analytics and presence data are kept in limited, largely aggregate form. You can ask us to delete information sooner (Section 8), subject to records we must keep.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR/UK GDPR or the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. California residents have the right to know and delete, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights; we do not sell or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in the CCPA sense.
To exercise any right, email us at studio@syncbyjt.com. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframe required by law (generally within 30 days). Requests are handled by a person, so please allow us reasonable time.
You can withdraw advertising consent at any time via the consent controls on the site.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption in transit, payment handling by Stripe (we never see full card numbers), access controls on our backend, and firewall protections. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
The site and services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Third-party links and services
The site links to and embeds third-party services (for example Disco previews and streaming platforms). Their handling of your data is governed by their own policies, not this one.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
13. Contact
